About the National Road and Bridge Metrology Station
As the only national-level metrology station in China’s highway engineering field, the National Road and Bridge Metrology Station is the highest authority in metrology for road and bridge engineering. Operating under the Ministry of Transport and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine, it is responsible for equipment calibration, testing, and technical guidance. It also sets the highest metrology standards in the industry, vital for smart construction and urban development initiatives.

Partnership Highlights
The collaboration addresses critical technical issues such as:

· Ensuring the accuracy of data collected by intelligent bearings.

· Evaluating the calibration capabilities and reliability of bearing systems during service.

Accurate reaction force data is pivotal for structural health monitoring, smart construction, and maintenance systems. However, challenges such as sensor reliability and calibration limitations have hindered widespread application. IEC’s BEARINGSMART intelligent connector system resolves these issues by enabling precise, real-time reaction force measurements, even under service conditions. This technological breakthrough has been highly recognized by the National Road and Bridge Metrology Station, which is committed to supporting further research, issuing authoritative calibration certificates, and co-developing national metrology standards.
