On May 14, 2016, the China Highway and Transportation Society successfully held a review meeting for the outline of the “ZJZ Integral Anchoring Tooth Expansion Joint” industry standard. The meeting, hosted in Xinjin, Chengdu, was organized by IEC Inc..
Key Milestones:
1. Research and Development: The ZJZ expansion joint underwent three years of development, application, and upgrades, becoming widely adopted in key domestic and international projects.
2. Accreditation: In July 2014, the China Highway and Transportation Society certified the product under the document “Zhonggongjianzi (2014) No. 16,” concluding that the technology achieved an internationally advanced level and recommended its standardization.
3. Promotion: In December 2015, it was included in the Ministry of Transport’s Science and Technology Promotion Directory (Certificate No. 2015016), followed by the initiation of its standardization project.
The meeting was presided over by Zhao Junli, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Bridge and Structure Committee of the China Highway Society. Presentations included:
· Darcy Wu (General Manager): Overview of the company’s R&D achievements.
· Jason Wang (Deputy General Manager): Detailed report on the ZJZ expansion joint’s technical features, standardization progress, and drafting guidelines.
Experts assessed the outline, providing valuable suggestions on technical requirements and implementation timelines. They concluded that the proposal was comprehensive, feasible, and aligned with practical needs, with well-structured chapters for the draft standard.
This meeting marked a significant step toward the successful standardization of the ZJZ expansion joint.
